Caught this Yellow-rumped Warbler in the middle of its daily dance routine! ππͺΆ Who knew the fence line was actually a stage? 10/10 for form and enthusiasm.

I’m binge-watching my favorite reality show: “The Real Housewives of the Bird Feeder.”

Our view from the front door this morning shows significantly less snow than forecast.

βοΈ The backyard squad is fueling up βοΈ

There are three birds in the photograph:
A male House Finch is perched on the fence to the left. A Yellow-rumped Warbler perched on the yellow feeder tray. An Eastern Bluebird is peeking over the roof of the feeder.
Yellow there! βοΈ Look who decided to stop by the feeder today. Always a treat to see a Pine Warbler adding a splash of color to the yard.

Small bird. Big volume. Even bigger opinions about the feeder refill schedule.Small bird. Big volume. Even bigger opinions about the feeder refill schedule.

Who needs a table when you have acrobat skills like this? Showing off that impressive grip strength! πͺ

Feeling blue never looked so good! π¦π Spotted this little splash of color brightening up the day.

Always a good day when the ‘Butterbutts’ show up! π§ This Yellow-rumped Warbler has a lot to say about the suet situation this morning.

Splish splash! π¦ Caught this beautiful female Eastern Bluebird just finishing up taking a bath. Feeling fresh and squeaky clean! ππ

Do not seek it without. Today will be our peaceful day. Let go of controlling others. Breathe in, breathe out. Be in the moment. ![]()

Birch says, “I heard that the humans sometimes tip over sleeping cows so i thought of trying to tip over a sleeping human but then i found out that humans roll around a lot when they sleep so maybe they tip the cows to help them sleep better?”

Larke says, “Eat Trash!”

When Larke visited the little humans, she saw a lot of people standing in a long line waiting to get food. Next to the line there was a so-called “trashcan,” which other little people kept walking up to and dropping food into. So Larke didn’t understand why the people in the line just didn’t take some food from the trashcan. It seems like a waste, no?
Last Saturday it was 68 degrees. This morning it was in the 40s Even the birds thought it was cold π₯Ά βοΈ

Wilde says, “I tried one of the magic pocket stars, and it’s like way funnier than looking at the sun, so I kinda also want one for when we go back to the forest!”

Wilde is most fascinated by the little humans’ absolutely all-encompassing habit of looking down into their magic pocket stars. The old trolls say that this is a new thing, that the humans used to look straight ahead, at the world they lived in. Now, they also live in the pocket star world.
Even the birds are feeling festive.

My wife suggested we go for a walk after dinner π½οΈ π₯© Then we had a piece of π₯§

Feeder vibes and feathered friends π¦β¨ This little Pine Warbler brought a splash of olive charm to my backyard today. Natureβs details never disappoint.

Itβs a great day for birding when a sweet Brown-headed Nuthatch comes to visit! π‘ These guys are little acrobats, always busy looking for treats. Happy to share my view with these beautiful neighbors! What birds are visiting your feeder today?
